In short: QRfarm does not collect your personal data. There are no accounts, no ads and no analytics. What you scan and create is stored on your device only. We have no server that receives it.
1. What the app does with data
- Scanned and created codes (History). If History is on, the content of the codes you scan or create, with the time and type, is saved in a database on your device. It is never sent to us. You can turn History off (private mode), delete single items, set automatic deletion, or clear everything. Codes that look like one-time passwords or payment codes are not saved.
- Wi-Fi passwords. If you create a Wi-Fi code, the password you typed is part of that code and is kept with it in your device History (unless History is off). When you copy or share such a code from History, QRfarm asks whether to include the password. Exports leave passwords out unless you choose to include them.
- Settings. Theme, language, haptics, privacy and lock preferences are stored on your device.
- Camera. The camera is used live to detect codes. Camera images are not recorded, stored or uploaded.
- Pictures you choose. If you pick a picture to scan or to use as a logo, QRfarm reads that picture on your device only.
- Files you export. PNG, SVG, PDF, CSV and JSON files are created on your device and kept briefly in the app’s temporary storage (about 30 minutes, then cleaned). Where they go is up to you (Share, Save to device). Once shared, they are outside QRfarm’s control. An exported file contains what is in the code, including a Wi-Fi password if you chose to include it.
- Clipboard. QRfarm does not read your clipboard. “Copy” writes to it only when you ask.
We never receive your history, so we cannot see, recover or delete it for you.
2. Permissions
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Camera | To scan codes. Asked the first time you open Scan. |
| Face ID, biometrics or screen lock | Optional. Only to unlock History if you turn the lock on. Your operating system does the matching; QRfarm only learns whether it passed. |
| Vibration | Optional haptic feedback when a code is scanned. You can turn it off in Settings. |
QRfarm does not ask for your location, contacts, microphone, storage or advertising identifier, and it never reads your photo library. On iPhone, when you tap Save on a barcode or QR image, iOS asks once for permission to add that image to your Photos (add-only). On Android it does not request the Internet permission at all: QRfarm itself cannot connect to the Internet. Links you choose to open load in your device’s browser view, which makes its own connection. QRfarm does not send your scans, codes or history anywhere.
3. Links you open
QRfarm never opens a link automatically. If you tap Open, the link opens in your device’s browser view, and that website receives your request as it would from any browser; its own privacy policy applies. Phone, SMS, e-mail and map actions open the matching app on your device after you confirm. If you scan a product barcode and tap Search the web, your browser opens a Google search page containing the barcode number, and Google receives that search as it would from any browser (Google’s own privacy policy applies). On Android this is a Chrome tab, so Google may associate the search with a Google account you are signed in to in Chrome; on iPhone the browser view does not share your Safari sign-ins. QRfarm itself sends nothing. QRfarm’s link warnings are based on simple patterns and are not a guarantee about any website.
4. Third-party components
QRfarm is built with open-source libraries. You can see the list in the app under Settings → Open source licenses. They run inside the app. We use no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or sign-in service.
5. Sharing, selling and tracking
We do not sell or share personal data. We do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not use advertising identifiers.
6. Retention and deletion
Your data stays on your device until you delete it (Settings → Privacy & security → Clear all history, or delete single items in History) or uninstall QRfarm. On Android, app backup is turned off, so your history is not copied to Google backups.
7. Security
History is kept in an app-private database on your device. The optional lock puts History (including its export) and the privacy options in Settings behind Face ID, biometrics or your device passcode, and, where the system allows, hides those main screens from screenshots and screen recording. Pop-up sheets are not covered by this protection. It is an app lock, not a guarantee against every way of accessing a device. No method of storing data is perfectly secure.
8. Children
QRfarm is not directed to children and collects no personal data from anyone.
9. Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. You control your data in the app. For data held by Apple or Google (for example, app downloads), see their policies.
10. Changes
If our data practices change, we will update this page and the effective date above.
11. Contact
QRfarm is developed by SADIK ERBIL AKBULUT, Türkiye.
