Common questions
Is QRfarm really free?
Yes. There are no ads, no subscription, no account and no watermark on the codes you create.
Does QRfarm collect my data?
No. There is no account and no analytics. Your history stays on your device. See the Privacy Policy.
Why does QRfarm ask for the camera?
Only to scan codes. Camera images are not recorded or uploaded. If you said no, you can still scan from a picture in your gallery, or turn the camera on in your device settings.
Why does QRfarm not open a link right away?
A QR code can hide a misleading address. QRfarm shows the full address first so you decide, and it warns about some suspicious patterns. Warnings are not a guarantee, and no warning does not mean a link is trustworthy.
What does “Open anyway” mean?
The link looked unusual (for example a link shortener or look-alike characters). Check the address carefully before you continue.
Does my QR code expire?
No. The codes you create are static: the data is inside the image, so there is nothing to renew. If a code points to a website, that website can still change or go offline.
My code will not scan. What should I do?
Use a dark code on a light background with good contrast, keep a logo small (QRfarm warns you when it is too big), leave the blank border around the code, and test the exported file on the devices that will scan it. Very small prints can be hard to read. A higher error correction level (Customize → Error correction) helps with damaged or logo codes.
Which file formats can I export?
PNG, SVG and PDF, without a watermark.
Can I edit a code after I made it?
No. Codes are static. Create a new one instead: open the code in History and choose Duplicate.
Which codes can QRfarm scan?
QR codes and common product barcodes: EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E and Code 128. You can also scan from a picture in your gallery. Creating barcodes is not part of this version.
How do I delete my history?
Settings → Privacy & security → Clear all history, or delete single items in History (swipe left or use the item menu). You can also set History to Off so new scans are not saved.
What does the lock do?
It puts History (including its export) and the privacy options in Settings behind Face ID, biometrics or your device passcode. It is an app lock; it does not replace your device’s own security.
I lost my history after reinstalling or changing phones.
History lives only on your device and QRfarm does not back it up. Use History → menu → Export (CSV or JSON) before switching phones.
Can I use QRfarm in my language?
Yes: English, Türkçe, Español and Português. By default QRfarm follows your phone’s language; you can choose one in Settings → Language.
A Wi-Fi code includes the password. Is that safe to share?
The password is inside the code, so anyone who scans it can join the network. When you copy or share a Wi-Fi item from History, QRfarm asks whether to include the password. Treat Wi-Fi codes like the password itself.
Report a problem or a security issue
Email support@qrfarm.io with the steps that lead to the problem. You can also use Settings → Send feedback in the app. For a security issue, please write “Security” in the subject line so we see it first.
